Refund Policy

The Fari Journal of Social Sciences and Law is committed to maintaining transparency and fairness in all aspects of its publication process. This Refund Policy outlines the conditions under which refunds may be issued for submission or publication fees, and the process for requesting a refund.

1. Submission Fees

  • Non-Refundable: Submission fees are required to cover the costs of initial manuscript processing, including administrative work, initial review, and editorial services. As these services are rendered immediately upon submission, submission fees are non-refundable once the manuscript has been submitted for consideration.
  • Withdrawal Before Review: If the manuscript is withdrawn by the author before the peer review process begins, the author may request a partial refund of the submission fee. This refund will be considered only if the manuscript has not yet been processed or reviewed by the editorial team.
  • Duplicate Submission: If an author submits a manuscript to multiple journals simultaneously, and the journal detects this during the review process, the submission will be rejected, and the submission fee will not be refunded.

2. Publication Fees

  • Non-Refundable After Acceptance: Once a manuscript has been accepted for publication, the associated publication fee becomes non-refundable. This fee covers editorial processing, typesetting, proofreading, online publication, and hosting of the article in open-access platforms.
  • Partial Refund for Withdrawal Before Production: If an article is accepted and the author requests withdrawal before the article enters the production stage (i.e., before the final typesetting, proofs, or publication), a partial refund may be provided. The refund will depend on the stage of processing and the extent of work already completed. If the article is already in the proofing or typesetting stage, a partial refund may not be available.
  • No Refund After Proofing or Final Publication: Once the manuscript has entered the production process (e.g., proofing, final typesetting) or has been published online, the publication fee is non-refundable.

3. Refund Due to Editorial Error or Journal Cancellation

  • If an article is withdrawn by the journal after acceptance due to an editorial error or technical issue (e.g., if it is discovered that the article does not meet the journal's ethical standards or has data integrity issues), the author will be entitled to a full refund of the publication fee.
  • If the Fari Journal of Social Sciences and Law discontinues its operations or stops publishing, any outstanding publication fees that have already been paid will be refunded to authors who have not yet received their final published article.

4. Refund Due to Ethical Violations

  • If an article is found to contain serious ethical violations after submission or acceptance, such as plagiarism, data fabrication, or conflict of interest violations, the publication fee will not be refunded. In such cases, the article will be rejected or retracted, and the journal may report the violation to the relevant academic or professional institutions.

5. Requesting a Refund

  • Authors wishing to request a refund should send a written request to the editorial team, including the reason for the refund request, the manuscript details (title, DOI, or submission ID), and any supporting documentation if applicable.
  • The refund request will be reviewed by the editorial team, who will assess whether the request aligns with the journal’s policies and determine the amount (if any) to be refunded.
  • Refund requests must be submitted within 30 days of the author’s decision to withdraw the manuscript or of the publication fee payment date. Requests made after this period may not be considered.

6. Refund Process

  • If a refund is granted, the journal will process the refund within 30 business days of receiving the approved request.
  • Refunds will be made through the original payment method used by the author (e.g., credit card, bank transfer, or online payment platform).
  • Refunds will be issued for the total amount or a partial amount based on the journal's decision, depending on the circumstances of the refund request.

7. Non-Refundable Charges

  • In some cases, administrative or transaction fees incurred by the journal (such as bank charges or processing fees) may not be refundable. Any such fees will be deducted from the refund amount.

8. Policy Review and Updates

  • The Fari Journal of Social Sciences and Law reserves the right to review and update this Refund Policy periodically to ensure it remains fair, transparent, and in line with best practices in academic publishing.
  • Any updates or changes to the policy will be communicated to authors, editors, and other stakeholders via the journal’s website and other official channels.

By following this Refund Policy, the Fari Journal of Social Sciences and Law aims to provide a clear, transparent, and fair process for handling refund requests related to submission and publication fees. This policy ensures that authors are treated fairly while maintaining the operational integrity of the journal.
