Refund Policy

The Fari Journal of Global Affairs and Security Studies is committed to ensuring a smooth and transparent process for all authors, reviewers, and other stakeholders. This Refund Policy outlines the conditions under which refunds may be issued in relation to submission fees, publication fees, or other services provided by the journal.

1. Submission Fees

  • Submission fees are typically non-refundable. Once a manuscript is submitted, the submission fee is considered earned by the journal for processing and initial handling of the manuscript.
  • In exceptional cases where a manuscript is withdrawn prior to the review process (before reviewers have been assigned), authors may request a refund of the submission fee. The refund decision will be made based on the timing and circumstances of the withdrawal request.

2. Publication Fees

  • Publication fees are required after a manuscript has been accepted for publication. These fees cover the costs associated with editorial processing, typesetting, online publication, and dissemination.
  • Publication fees are generally non-refundable once the manuscript has been accepted and processing has commenced. This includes the production and finalization stages of the article.
  • In cases where an article is withdrawn after acceptance but before publication, the publication fee may be eligible for a partial refund depending on the stage of processing. The refund amount will be determined by the editorial team, considering the resources already invested in the article's production.

3. Refunds for Errors or Miscommunication

  • If a refund is requested due to a system error, incorrect charge, or miscommunication about fees, the journal will investigate the issue thoroughly. In such cases, the journal aims to provide a full refund if the charge was made in error.
  • Authors should contact the editorial team promptly to request a review of their case. Any discrepancy found in billing or payment processing will be rectified, and a refund will be processed accordingly.

4. Refunds for Manuscript Rejection

  • Submission fees are not refunded in the event of manuscript rejection. These fees are intended to cover the administrative costs associated with submission, initial review, and processing.
  • Publication fees are only applicable once an article has been accepted. Therefore, if a manuscript is rejected at any point during the review process, authors will not be charged publication fees and no refund is applicable.

5. Cancellation of Services

  • In the rare event that the Fari Journal of Global Affairs and Security Studies cancels a manuscript submission or publication due to unforeseen circumstances or errors on the journal’s part, authors will be eligible for a full refund of any fees paid.
  • If a manuscript is not accepted for publication after payment of publication fees and no further editorial work has been conducted, authors may receive a partial refund based on the stage of processing.

6. Refund Process

  • To request a refund, authors must submit a formal request to the journal’s editorial team, including relevant details such as manuscript ID, the reason for the request, and payment proof.
  • Refund requests will be processed within 30 business days from the date of the request. Authors will be notified of the outcome and the refund transaction details once it is approved.

7. Conditions for Refunds

  • Refunds are only issued to the original payment method used during the transaction (e.g., credit card, bank transfer).
  • All requests for refunds must be made in writing to the editorial team and should include a clear explanation of the reason for the request.
  • The journal reserves the right to refuse a refund request if it is found to be fraudulent or not in line with the terms of this policy.

8. No Refunds for Digital Access

  • Fees related to digital access to articles, including individual purchases of articles or subscription-based access, are non-refundable. Once access is granted, it is considered final and non-refundable, except in cases where there was a technical issue that prevented access.

9. Policy Review

  • The Fari Journal of Global Affairs and Security Studies reserves the right to review and update this refund policy periodically. Any changes to the policy will be communicated to authors, reviewers, and other stakeholders through the journal’s official communication channels.

This Refund Policy ensures transparency and fairness in the handling of fee-related requests while providing clarity on when refunds may be issued and the procedures involved.
