FARI is a purely private sector, apolitical research institute that generates its own funds. With no external funding from the public or private sector, the nominal fees collected are solely for the publication process. For information on waivers, please refer to our waiver policy.

Publication Charges Policy

FJGASS receives no external financial assistance or government funding. To maintain high standards and strive for indexing in prestigious databases like the SSCI (JCR-Master List), FJGASS incurs significant costs. Consequently, nominal publication charges are recommended to cover these expenses.

Publication Charges

The publication charges for Fari Journal of Global Affairs and Security Studies are as follows:

• Pakistani Authors: 35,000 PKR
• Foreign Authors: USD 300

These charges will be collected after the final report from the reviewers. A payment link will be shared with the authors upon acceptance.

Special Considerations

Publication charges are relatively unusual for local journals in Pakistan, leading to various queries and misconceptions. To address this, the Board of Trustees assigned the FJGASS Editorial Board to draft a comprehensive publication charges policy, considering the practices of major publication houses globally. Special attention is given to providing relief for Ph.D. scholars and young researchers from Pakistan.
